Hubspot Software Engineer Co-op Placement & Industrial Placement Program (UK)

As a Software Engineering Spring Co-op, you’ll help solve complex problems and build real products that thousands of customers depend on. You’ll work alongside HubSpot engineers in small, collaborative teams, with the opportunity to take ownership of the software you create and start shipping production code early in your co-op. We have the following roles open for our 2027 program in EMEA : Spring Co-ops - Must be available to work full time for the duration of their required co-op placement (Start date: January - May 2027) Industrial placements - Must be available to work full time for the duration of their required placement (Start date: June or July 2027) You must be available to work full time for the duration of the role and you must have at least a minimum of a 9 month mandatory placement as part of your course in order to apply for this role. Due to the nature of the role, this placement is being offered as a maximum of a 12 month contract. What you’ll do: Build and ship production software alongside experienced HubSpot engineers. Solve complex engineering problems that have an impact on HubSpot customers. Contribute to back-end, front-end, or data and systems infrastructure projects based on your team. Collaborate with engineers and teammates to design, develop, test, and improve software. Take ownership of meaningful projects and contribute ideas from development through delivery. Learn new technologies and engineering practices while applying them to real-world challenges. Communicate and collaborate with your team as you work through technical decisions and challenges. Technology you might use: Our stack is diverse — you'll be placed based on your interests and skills: Back end Java 11, REST APIs, Dropwizard, Kafka, MySQL, Spark, AWS Data & systems infrastructure Kubernetes, Redis, ElasticSearch, Hadoop, HBase, ZooKeeper What You’ll Bring Required Qualifications Web development experience through coursework, independent projects, work experience, or equivalent hands-on experience. Curiosity and motivation to learn new technologies and grow your engineering skills. Clear communication and collaboration skills. Confidence in taking ownership of projects and contributing in a fast-paced environment. Interest in understanding HubSpot’s business, products, and culture. Availability to work full-time, 40 hours per week, for the full duration of the Spring 2027 co-op. Ability to work from an eligible location within the United Kingdom. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Experience building projects beyond coursework, such as mobile apps, web applications, games, or other software. Experience with one or more of the technologies listed above. Experience taking ownership of a technical project or initiative. Where You’ll Work Location: United Kingdom Work type: Remote, hybrid, or onsite, based on eligible HubSpot work options. Schedule: This is a full-time, Spring Co-op with a start date anywhere from January to May for a minimum duration of 4 months long OR Industrial Placement from June or July for minimum duration of 9 months. Travel: Travel is not required. Depending on timing and business needs, you may have the opportunity to visit a HubSpot office for a Product Summit or team travel.
