Global Design & Project Manager

We are looking for a detail-oriented team player with a passion for workplace design to take ownership of global workplace design and project execution . Joining the Workplace team, you will report to the Head of Global Workplace & Real Estate and execute both short- and long-term projects to support Asana’s global expansion . The Workplace team supports every Asana by creating welcoming, comfortable, and inclusive environments where everyone can perform at their best . This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule . The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday . Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays . Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner . What you’ll achieve Lead the planning and execution of all new office builds, construction, and reconfigurations across global temporary (co-working) and leased spaces . Develop, maintain, and implement workplace design and graphic standards across all office locations . Collaborate closely with local Workplace leads to ensure design alignment, seamless office expansion, and high end-user satisfaction . Oversee design-related purchasing, including global furniture vendor management, quotes, and procurement . Source local furniture and environmental branding vendors globally, maintaining a resource directory and assisting site leads as needed . Manage project budgets, billing, CAPEX and OPEX cost roll-ups, and annual financial tracking . Oversee global occupancy and space planning, act as the space planning software administrator, and deliver monthly analytics, test fits, and occupancy projections . Drive the workflow for desk moves and department relocations while providing ongoing training and support to site leads and space captains . About you Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making . 6–8+ years of experience in space planning, interior design, and project management . Bachelor’s degree in interior design, architecture, or a related technical field . Proven proficiency with AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; familiarity with SketchUp or OfficeSpace is a plus . Meticulous planner and problem-solver who effectively prioritizes and manages multiple simultaneous projects under tight schedules . Strong cross-functional communicator skilled in building collaborative relationships across all levels and managing global vendors across time zones . Experienced in managing CAPEX/OPEX budgets, financial tracking, and transparent project status reporting . Portfolio or website demonstrating experienc e in office design, environmental graphics, and spatial planning . For this role, the estimated ba se salary range is between $121,000 - $138,000 . The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process . Th e listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified . In addition to base salary, your compensation package may include additional components such as equity, sales incentive pa y (for most sales roles), and benefits .
